About Us

History

California Right to Life Committee, now known as California Right to Life Action, was founded by longtime pro-life advocate Camille Giglio (above) with the mission to defend the sanctity of all human life—from conception to natural death—through education, advocacy, and grassroots action. The organization was officially recognized as a nonprofit 501(c)(4) in 1981, enabling it to engage in legislative and political activities consistent with its mission.

That same year, Camille began publishing a regular newsletter, which became a key instrument in educating the public, mobilizing supporters, and providing pro-life commentary on legislative developments at both the state and national levels. Over the decades, California Right to Life Action has played an active role in opposing legislation that threatens vulnerable human life and promoting policies that uphold the dignity of every person, including children in the womb, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities.

Under Camille’s leadership, the organization was a steadfast voice in California’s pro-life movement, rooted in a commitment to truth, compassion, and active civic engagement.

Today, California Right to Life Action is undergoing a strategic revitalization to build on its strong foundation and expand its impact. With a renewed focus on educating the public, policy engagement, and grassroots mobilization, the organization is equipping a new generation of advocates to defend life in California and beyond.

Mission Statement

California Right to Life Action exists to defend the most fundamental human right—the right to life—through principled legislative advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and strategic public engagement.

We champion laws that protect unborn children, support vulnerable women, and promote a culture in which every human life is valued and protected from conception to natural death. With bold conviction and compassionate action, we equip citizens to stand for life in the public square and ensure that California’s policies reflect the dignity of every person.

Vision Statement

We envision a California where the sanctity of human life is honored in law, cherished in culture, and safeguarded for generations to come.

A state where children are welcomed, women are empowered with real choices, and the most vulnerable are never discarded. We strive for a future where truth, justice, and compassion guide public policy—and where every life, regardless of circumstance, is seen as a precious gift.
